Custom Casegoods and Millwork

Your imagination is limitless, but your budget isn’t…

When assembly line furniture doesn’t address your unique requirements, specialized function or aesthetic vision, Re-creations' custom casegoods and millwork literally provides “outside of the box” solutions. Ideas are translated into detailed working drawings, skillfully constructed, and expertly installed. Unlike mass production manufacturers, Re-creations custom capabilities accommodate single or multiple units.

Since 1983, Re-creations has manufactured custom solutions that range from minor field modifications to one of a kind, signature pieces. Re-creations’ meticulous wood & metal working, upholstery, finishing, and carpentry deliver cost effective solutions for single or mass production orders.

Field Modifications

Work environments require flexibility for a constantly changing world. Re-creations fashions solutions that overcome functional or aesthetic obstacles in less time and cost. Often these modifications or products can be crafted on the site.

Design Process

The design process begins with a project requirement that cannot be met by conventional mass-produced office furniture products. Typically, a request will be generated through a salesperson from a bid perspective, an existing client or a potential client via an architect, designer or end user.

The scope of the project is established in order to create a correlation between the client’s needs and our ability to fulfill their requirements. We look at how the piece will function, how it will be constructed and its appearance upon completion.

Some of the steps involved in the process include:

  • Simple sketch from end user
  • Pictures of piece trying to create
  • Receiving CAD plans of the space the custom items will be used in
  • A site visit
  • Field dimensions
  • Designing and drawing items in plan view
  • Producing shop drawings of each item to be constructed

Further steps include:

  • Finish selections
  • Hardware specifications
  • Drawing approvals
